Accurate for a worldwide average but far far cheaper if hanging in the 2nd and 3rd world. We live on about 600-700/mo. in Mexico and we pay rent to boot as part of that. Running a way simplistic boat would drop maintenance as well. And on the hook. Some folks stay in places like Bocas del Toro for years.
